I’m really happy I was able to take a part in this project and support our participant’s trough the learning process of this training course.  I gave my best, and I really thankful because this training was a really good learning process for me also, because this training were my first experience to be a trainer, I learnt a lot during the TC, from the program flow and get some really good new techniques from the experienced participants too. I think between the trainers the teamwork was really good we can support each other quite well. I hope so András were also satisfied with my job J. We try to found all the time the best way to support the participants, in the most suitable way for them. The place wasn’t a common training room it hasn’t got good facilities to run a training it was about 30 degrees and we had no air condition only some ventilators what made quite big noise. So the training room was not the perfect one, but the place where we settled was really good. The accommodation was 5 min by foot from the town’s main square where during our training a summer festival ran. It gave lots of opportunity to the participants to got contact with the local people.

Although this was not the easiest task to facilitate such a huge really colourful group, it worth it; in general we had to cope with some problem during the project, linked with the training room facilities, this problems should be fixed in the future needs more attention, but in this case it wasn’t the fault of the organizers, if we can fix them next time, it can support more the learning process. In general the training course worth it and it was a really good and value process.

Evaluation of the most important elements:

Information before the TC.

I have all the information before the project about the participant’s profile, what gives the chance to set up a good and suitable program for everybody before the TC.

Preparation, and fields of interest

Some of the participants were over prepared, but some of them were not so prepared. They are comes from really different areas, countries, cultural background, with really different experience of Youth in Action so they have quite different interest, so in the beginning it was not so easy to deal with the huge brand of interest and make some common line. In other hand this difference was a great luck of help during the project and it was really good for the newcomers to got conversations with other really experienced participants.

The group

The group was perfect together, all of the participants were really opened and they enjoyed the time really much together, and at the end of the process they have great valuable project plans in their hand. So we reached all the goals in this field to involve the new organizations into Youth in Action family.

Language

There was not any language barrier. It was really surprising, for me but it was really cool to work with a group like this. It helped a lot because there were no problems during debates and discussions the participants could express themselves.

The hotel

The rooms and the staff of the hotel was always really helpful with us, the breakfast was really okay we got nice feedback about that, although the hotel were in the centre of the town it was a quiet area, what was really good for the participants to have rest at night times.

The meal

In my opinion the meal was really ok, of course there is all the time participants who not satisfied with the meal because it is really different from theirs, but the main feedback was a good about the meals.

The national balance

The Portuguese language speakers were a bit overbalanced (5 participants speaks in Portuguese in the group), so they sometimes use Portuguese during the free time but just in case when they were alone if some other no Portuguese speaker enjoyed to them they switched language and continuing in English. So it wasn’t any problem with national balance, anyway we cannot speak about national group and balance in that case what we had during the course 18 countries 20 nation… it was a huge diverse mess, without borders and without problems in contact making.

Delays in the program.

It is somehow usual the program days start a bit late with some miniutes, but it doesn’t make huge problems. The only small problem, about delays was in the 1st day with the time zones some of the participants don’t change time zone, but we fixed it for the next day

Organization fair

It was OK, although personally I request more people who has interest to go abroad with EVS, anyway we succeeded, because thosee peoples who were visit us had a great time with us and they find contact for the future to go and make EVS.

Kecskemét

It was really good and I think a good choose to make the project in the town, the participants had great cultural free time activities and in this case they had the chance to get immediate contact with the local people.

Visit in the Parliament

The departure day Parliament visit was a great end of the project it gave to the participants some unique experience, and open the chance for those who had time before the departure to visit Budapest a bit. It was also great to visit the National Agency of Hungary, the participants love the idea and say really thanks for the workers to allow us the short visit and let us to keep our bags there for few hours. This day put some drops of European citizenship to our program too so it was wonderful.

Owerall:

I guess the project, succeeded in all topics, we gather together more the “experienced” and the “new commer” youth in action workers, we reached everybody was being 100% member of the group and give all the best to develop new projects. My point of view this one was the most important success, what we reached the newcomers have clear frames what EVS means, how to make an EVS project and got several practical things how to do it in the practise, how to involve people and how to use culture as a tool for the process. It was not an easy was, but at the end of the learning process they got the feeling and the motivation and the contacts to say yes I can do it too. My opinion is that it was also really important we forced YouthPass certificate and highlight the good points if you have a YouthPass, during the learning process the participants have chance to make self assessments in pairs and had the chance to fill out their own YouthPasses, mainly the first one in their life, learn to use tool of to do it the official site, to got their own YouthPass certificate of the process. We had some really important and unforgettable quality moments, memories, and I guess our former participants now on a good track in the way of project generation to make more quality projects in field EVS and other sub-actions of Youth in Action. Personally for me it was also a great process and I’m really happy I got the chance to be there and took a part in this process.
